Madeline Baird
Actor, Singer, Director, Coach & Dog lover
Madeline Baird (She/They) is a Chicago-based performer who prides themselves on not taking themselves too seriously but is proud of their accomplishments and reluctantly willing to prove this by talking about themselves in the 3rd person. Turns out self-deprecating humor doesn't quite translate to a bio.
They've appeared in Shining Girls on Apple TV, worked with Drury Lane Theatre and Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Additionally, they've directed and served as an intimacy coach for the Runaways Lab Theater, of which they are a member, and directed for Youth Company Chicago. They are proudly represented by Shirley Hamilton Talent.

As a Chicago native who began their professional career at a young age, Madeline's first job was performing as a soloist at Symphony Hall. From this early beginning, their career expanded to include performances with Emerald City Theatre, tours with Apple Tree Theatre, and an extended contract at The American Girl Place. They also attended and graduated from The Theatre School at DePaul with a BFA in acting.
They are propelled by their interest in exploring the human condition and a personal need for play. Working at a young age instilled a strong sense of professionalism and the importance of staying flexible and relaxed in their approach. They're an actor with the knee-jerk reaction to "YES AND", while still knowing their worth.
Madeline regrets talking about themself in the third person.
